Job Title – Systems Engineer – – Production Support, Python

The Purpose of This Role

The successful candidate will be expected to be part of the PI (Personal Investments) Web Application Infrastructure Support team in India that manages 300+ application and web services environments such as www.fidelity.com, Online Transactions, Transfer of Assets, Money movements, Active Trader Pro etc. The development teams are spread across different geographical locations and working in Spotify model. Production support group has presence in US and India, providing follow the sun model support.

The PI Web support engineer is a core member of a multi-disciplinary enablement team working on day to day support as well as enablement of support through automation and self-service capability developments.

Triaging incidents with emphasis on restoring service to normalcy quickly as well as accurate Root Cause Analysis in Production Environments (that has complex applications architecture, high visibility applications, multiple support teams involved) in order to prevent Incidents from reoccurring in the environment and impact analysis
Building out new application server environments on premise as well as on AWS cloud, Data Center Migration projects, getting load balancing configuration changes implemented from peer groups, Application deployments and Monitor Implementations, building out and maintaining deployment pipelines through uDeploy and Jenkins for both AWS cloud and on-premise hosted applications
Environment Availability management
Implementing changes in Production Environment
Splunk Administration
Automations and self-service capability developments
Documentation (Technical steps and process involved)
