Job Description Summary The Staff Engineer – Fleet Management will serve as Time on Wing Owner for GE90/GP Fleet Model. This will include development of time on wing (TOW) models for CSA engines, initiating/ leading multidisciplinary productivity projects partnering with the Services business – LCE, Systems, CSA CMR Operations, IT to deliver Shop Visit (SV) cost reduction and TOW projects. This position offers excellent leadership development skills and an opportunity to link technical depth with the commercial side of the Aviation. Roles And Responsibilities

Execute analysis for aircraft engine fleets, particularly FMs (fleet models) to support business decisions related to Customized Service Agreements (CSA)
Own and deliver product field capability model based on field data
Deliver reliability, availability, maintainability predictions based on probabilistic fleet model
Lead efforts on streamlining high quality data availability for durability and cost modeling
Apply creative solutions, experienced judgment or machine learning methodology to solve TOW/SV cost related complex problems critical to the company
Scope out productivity projects addressing customer needs, deliver business results, identify leverage opportunities, institutionalize project benefits
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned projects
Effectively communicate model outcomes, status, risks and significant developments as appropriate
Develop team on GE90, GP FM
Work with CTHs to define training requirements & drive adoption, improvement opportunities
Lead GE90 BEC ecosystem scaling working with horizontal teams to create customer & business impact
Work with larger stake holders to & identify & create opportunities

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of experience in an Aviation/ Gas Turbine Engines Engineering position (design/ analysis/ systems/services)
Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated project leadership ability
Ability to work effectively with all levels in matrix organization
Experience or interests in applying statistical tools and big data analysis to Process Improvements and Quality projects
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Desired Characteristics

Master’s Degree/Ph.D in Engineering
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems, particularly, understanding of overall services process, including CSA modeling
Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams on technical programs

Experience with handling large datasets related to field issues, test cell, for flight operation, statistical analysis
