Implements at an operational and tactical level various aspects of the strategic supply chain aims of the region or cluster. For example, a Supply Planner Lead ensures that the right product is available at each location within the region or cluster in order to fulfil customer orders on time and in full. A Plant Planning Manager manages the operations of all designated production or process units within the constraints of budget and production programming requirements, and within quality and HSSE performance targets. A Demand Planner develops the best possible forecast of future demand requirements at SKU level for selected SKUs while making sure that the plan makes best use of supply chain capabilities. An IBV Analyst identifies improvement opportunities for end-to-end optimisation and acts as the funnel for framing opportunities. A Planning Excellence Manager supports a regional planning team to achieve operational excellence in supply and materials planning.
Solves, imaginatively, common technical and operational problems in the area of expertise. For example, Demand Planners will use relevant statistical tools. Remotely guided by procedures or scarce precedents. Guided by procedures or multiple precedents.
Independently manages the relation with multiple (groups of) internal and external stakeholders on a tactical level. For example, a Regional 3rd Party Contracts Coordinator manages the transactional relationship between Shell and the 3rd party vendor to assure all orders are being processed according to the designed process. LSC Demand Planners will work closely with Supply Planners, IBV Analysts and other relevant stakeholders in the IBV and S&O process.
Responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing short and medium-term plans. For example, Demand Planners will typically be forecasting over the 2 – 12 months time horizon. An IBV Analyst would be looking at things over the longer term, but under the guidance of a manager.
