You will be working as R&D Software Developer at global grade 14 will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be a part of GBS located in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be primarily responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product and/or solution development as well as associated IP by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks. Acting as the first line contact in R&D/SW development/Product engineering for the specific product related issues and maintenance

Your responsibilities
As a R&D Software engineer, this role demands programming embedded systems in substations application
Developing a strong knowledge in Software development methodologies and quality process and practices as per CMMI, good knowledge in power systems domain especially about protection & control relays and systems
Demonstrating of technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of technology/engineering assignments, mainly in research and development (R&D) projects, which demonstrates independent ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions
Actively following the scientific discussions in own competence area and contributes independently
Contributing to R&D projects with own, creative ideas and proposing follow-up projects and activities within own technical area based on new ideas
As a solid R&D project member and contributor, with experience as project or sub-project leader, ensures alignment with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and coordinates activities
Demonstrating sound understanding of, and actively applies, R&D processes and tools
Your background
BE/MTech – Electrical Engg / Electronics Engg
3 to 6 years of relevant professional experience and working experience in software Product development of Power system domain
Good Debugging capabilities and in C, RTOS, Device drivers for Embedded systems
Good Understanding on 61850 & Conformance testing and in protocols like DNP3, IEC 103, IEC 104 will be added advantage
Having knowledge on IOT, Wifi and Zigbee
