Job Description:
Medical Advisor ensures implementation of Global Medical Affairs strategy for the therapeutic area to build awareness of Ferring as a preferred and trusted scientific partner internal and external.
Main Accountabilities –
Carry out cross-functional collaboration with teams to provide medical expertise and key insights in the planning of clinical studies, HEOR, market research, brand/portfolio strategy and product launch
Support Medical Excellence partners such as training manager, Medical Communications Associates, Patient Engagement Director with scientific input / creation which is accurate and aligned with TA / brand medical strategy
Ensure excellence in medical deliverables and processes for the therapeutic area including medical information and promotional practices
Carry Out external insights generation by means of but not limited to advisory Boards, KEE management and maintain scientific engagement with external bodies / stakeholders
Ensure local medical teams have high quality and accurate scientific knowledge and insights to support local business and local KEEs engagement
Support to local teams on IIS (investigator Initiated) studies; ensure proposals are accurate and ensure ongoing IIS studies to be tracked in the system until closure
Ensure expansion and maintenance of medical and scientific knowledge through continuing education (e.g., attending symposia / congresses, curation and maintenance of scientific knowledge).
Steers the medical communication to key opinion leader and customers, thus leveraging the spread of knowledge and reputation of Ferring and its products, which lays the foundation of business achievements for the assigned therapuetic areas/products.
Support corporate, legal and regulatory requirements of all Medical Affairs activities with full assurance of compliance
Education:
Bachelors degree in scientific field with relevant therapeutic area experience is required. Advanced scientific degree (e.g. MD, PharmD, PhD) preferred.
4-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within relevant therapeutic area is required
