The Legal team is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company, including providing legal counsel across the organization, handling disputes, and creating and enforcing intellectual property.
Lets talk about the team:
The primary role of Corporate Compliance function is to act as an advisor on legal issues involving the organization’s government and regulatory compliance. Key deliverables include auditing, identifying and proactively eliminating/resolving potential non-compliance risks. Drafting policies, processes and training programs to ensure compliance to regulatory statutes. At Management Levels, may provide guidance to senior management and the Board of Directors on ethics, business conduct and compliance issues.
Lets talk about the role:
At the direction of the Global Ethics and Compliance Director, the Compliance Manager will improve, create and maintain compliance programs for sales, medical affairs, healthcare informatics, market access, finance, operations, and other functions primarily within ResMed India. The scope of responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:
Drafting local policies and procedures and working directly with the business units to develop the necessary processes to implement the local policies and procedures.
Assist in the development of the training program and conducting training on key policies, procedures and other high risk compliance matters.
Supporting and providing legal and compliance analysis for Transparency reporting, dispute resolution, and other details surrounding the Companys reporting obligations.
Provide support on large scale projects involving engagements with health care professionals and key opinion leaders such as: consultancy arrangements, charitable donations, demonstration and evaluation of products, grant funding, product donations, and company sponsored training.
Preventing, identifying and resolving potential non-compliance risks and consulting the business on proactively eliminating, mitigating, and resolving such risks.
Adopting reasonable controls to measure compliance, periodic reporting, providing follow up to appropriate stakeholders in the business, Legal and senior management.
Assisting internal and external auditors on controls subject to audits, investigations, and reporting.
Participating in periodic auditing and monitoring activities, communications to the business, and processes for obtaining management response to any identified gaps.
Assisting in the development and implementation of investigation training and protocols.
Develop and administer annual compliance plans and delivering or monitoring the delivery of training content.
Assisting in identifying the legal compliance risks existing within our various business models.
Communicating routinely with relevant stakeholders, including the appropriate Legal Business Partners regarding identified risks and compliance concerns.
Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or similar educational training;
Minimum of seven (7) years related experience in designing, implementing and training on compliance programs or equivalent combination of education and experience in compliance roles ideally for companies in the healthcare/life sciences industry.
Must possess strong legal/compliance and research skills.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a team player and work well with others.
Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional International (CCEP-I) or similar certification within 12 months of hire.
