We have an exciting opportunity to lead the Electrical Engineering discipline for our upcoming greenfield project at Dahej. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design & construction activities related to his discipline, construction management at project site, coordination within the design and construction team of internal and EPCM Consultant and ensure that all capital projects delivered are technically fit for purpose and meet the statutory requirements.

Essentials

Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in managing Greenfield & Brownfield Projects for Pharmaceutical / Chemical / Speciality Chemical / Agrochemical industries.
Minimum 10 years worked as Electrical Engineer – Design & Construction from Client or for EPCM/EPC consultants, where project cost is in range of around 1000 MINR to 2000 MINR.
Strong knowledge and working experience in various phases of projects like Conceptual Design, FEED, Detail Engineering, Construction, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning & Project Close out.
Expert level knowledge in Electrical & LVS System design, and understanding, preparing, and interpreting drawings and documents like Design Basis, SLDs, Load List, Motor List, Technical Specifications & Data Sheets, Cable Schedule, P&ID, Cable & Cable Tray Layouts, BOQ, Tender, Contract, etc. requirements.
Expert level knowledge and experience in Equipment Sizing calculations of Transformer, Cable sizing, Lighting system, Earthing system, Motors, DG, VCBs, MCC/PCC Panels, APFC, Voltage Drop calculation, LUX Level calculations, Cable tray sizing, etc.
Expert level knowledge in design and understanding of various type of electrical items and its selection based on Hazardous Area Classifications, HAZOP & QRA requirements, Process Safety, PHA, HAZOP, QRA, SIL study, Relief study for relief valves / bursting discs, etc.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for leading, coordination, guidance, mentoring, and supervision for design and engineering and to produce project specific deliverables of high quality.
Guide the Engineering Team in developing engineering deliverables as per the project execution philosophy, carrying out FEED, Pre-bid Engineering and Detail Engineering.
Responsible for Electrical system Installation engineering including review of 3D model, Cable & Cable Trays Layouts and Hook up diagrams, and MTO.
Constant coordination and expediting within team (Contractor, Consultant, internal team) and ensure that team is involved, have sufficient information, aware and highly motivated.
Responsible for ensuring Workfront clearance and WORK availability to Contractor, expedite with Consultant and Project Team for timely availability of drawings.
Responsible to develop Time Schedule, Construction Plan with help from Contractor, Consultant, and review and approve of time schedule & plan.
Responsible for Quality and Workmanship for Electrical & LVS System Work at site and ensure that work executed by Contractor meets Contract Specifications, QAP, ITP, Quality Management Plan, no compromise on Quality.
Responsible for maintaining and archive soft copy and/or hard copy of Monthly Bills, Measurements Records, Documents, Drawings, Record/Instructions/ Records Books, and instruction/information given by management/ or consultant related to project work.
Preparation of rate analysis, BOQ as per the drawing & working of various items to be executed, finalized the vendor & cost of the contracts to execute the work at site including preparation of tender documents.
Schedule and participate in daily, weekly, monthly meeting with project team & EPCM consultant / architecture / vendor for the project progress work.
Responsible for manpower, material, machineries etc. are available on time, resolve issues with contractors / Consultant and raise red flag before it gets delayed.
Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Physically and mentally fit, ability to work for extended hours, hard working
Frequent travelling within Mumbai/Navi-Mumbai and Dahej during various phases of project
Working 6 days in a week
