Director of Marketing Operations Full Time

Overview

As the Director of Marketing Operations, you will report to the VP of Marketing to lead a ROI-focused engineering team to deliver marketing demand to Sales. At Verkada, a fast paced, early-stage startup, every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth, and we want you to grow with us!

Responsibilities
Own lead lifecycle, attribution, scoring, utm parameters, data enrichment, routing, lead nurture, customer engagement and sales handoff
Own the Marketing Analytics technology stack including underlying database, data visualization tools, and dashboards
Responsible for marketing quarterly budget planning and ad hoc executive reporting
Understand marketing processes, data definitions as well as the big picture and be responsible for educating others through documentation and communication
Own evaluation, negotiations, and implementation of the operations technology stack
Lead and continue to hire a bright group of engineers and analysts to maximize their value-add, growth, and overall success
Design operations of people, systems, and processes to effectively meet novel and varied business use cases
Break down business requests into operational components, determine net value, communicate trade-offs, establish alignment, and execute
Prioritize marketing operations work and manage team inputs and outputs.
Qualifications
5+ years working in Marketo (or equivalent) and Salesforce
Exceptional analytical skills including logic, causal analysis and conditionals
Willing and able to take on complex projects and lead effectively across functions
Excellent sense of judgement with the ability to think quickly
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Ability to navigate ambiguity and work in a fast-changing environment with an entrepreneurial approach
Nice to Have
Strong desire to improve as a people manager
Basic programming skills (Python, JS, SQL)
Scrappy enough to make good decisions and get things done
