Responsibilities

Need a leader who –

Proactively identify and improve parts of the delivery system to produce the necessary results
Create strategy and paint the picture for others surrounding appropriate principles and practices that result in a stable, valuable delivery system. Think globally and holistically
Be more of a thought leader than just transactional
Identify and propose strategies around problems affecting the team, communicate standards and get buy-in on solutions
Focus more on improving rather than just managing constraints.
Persists in the face of roadblocks and chooses to “do what is right” even when it is hard. – – Learns and shares concepts and techniques that build a learning culture.
Able to influence, identify and suggest solutions to continuously improve the practices and methods used
Modeling a growth mindset and mentoring and coaching others
Helps develop and guide strategy toward future state. Is able to clearly articulate “the why” behind the strategy and rally support. Can help identify objectives of the strategy and drive action
Can anticipate problems and drive change to combat problems
Deeply understands the cause and effect relationship of changes introduced. “Paints the picture” of future state and articulates a model to get there
Establishes relationships across the enterprise to make connections resulting in a more efficient and effective delivery system
Able to adjust to learning environments and individual/team needs
Build a trusting and safe environment throughout the delivery system where problems can be raised without retribution or judgement with an emphasis of problem solving and continuous learning and improvement
