Description

Designing, creating, deploying and managing Data Architecture. Defining, in alignment with IT Business Intelligence Organisation, how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed within Cloudera or other repositories, as well as any applications using or processing that data. Handling the linkages and transformations between different databases, merging and aggregating data. Creation and oversight of architecture maps for projects like Daylight (ERP Big Data) and ES Americas DataHub, to ensure people can understand and navigate through the data complexity.

Data sources will include (but not be limited to), multiple ERPs (SAP, Oracle, etc.), other enterprise business tools (Demantra, TPH, PDH, EPM, etc), other bespoke business tools (Customer Stock Assortment, Channel Charter Lead Times, Report Distribution Database, KPI Target Setting).

Oversight of the design of Bespoke Business Tools, with respect to Database architecture. Including but not limited to: Customer Stock Assortment, Channel Charter Lead Times, Report Distribution Database, KPI Target Setting.

Identification of Data Cleansing requirements within Eaton Electrical Sector EMEA’s Data sets. Working with other stakeholders to develop and effective and robust cleansing processes and algorithms and validating them. Ensuring that data is clean and useable by the Organisation.

Working closely with other Business Groups within Eaton, including but not limited to: Material Master Data Management Team; Customer Master Data Management Team; Material Management Team; Product Data Stewards; IT Business Intelligence; IT; Supply Chain Shared Services in Pune (India) and Budapest; Transport Operations: Distribution Operations; Sales and Marketing Analytics; etc.

Ensuring that the tools and approaches that Eaton uses are appropriate for the current and future needs of the business: scalable; robust; with a good product life-span; managing massive data; delivering quick outputs for business users; are useable by the front-end tools.

Additionally, support for other ad-hoc Data related projects for Eaton Globally

Identifies opportunities to collect new data.
Designs new processes and builds large, complex data sets.
Develops solutions to gather data to deliver Business Tools that add value to the business
Strategizes new uses for data and its interaction with data design.
Locates data sources, analyzes statistics and implements quality procedures.
Performs data studies of new and diverse data sources.
Finds new uses for existing data sources.
Tests and validates predictive models.
Conducts scalable data research.
Implements automated processes for efficiently producing scale models.
Designs, modifies and builds new data processes.
Collaborates with stakeholders, IT, database engineers and other scientists.
Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines and builds out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
Writes unit/integration tests and documents work.
Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
Works closely with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.
Defines company data assets (data models), Impala, spark, sparkSQL, and hiveSQL jobs to populate data models.
Designs data integrations and data quality framework.
Designs and evaluates open source and vendor tools for data lineage.
Works closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture.

Qualifications

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Computer Science , IT or equivalent work experience
Understanding of and ability to use programming languages like Python and Database query language like SQL (Structured Query Language)
Displays superior data visualization abilities
Displays superior technical coding abilities
Working knowledge of Power BI
Knowledge of any ETL tools like Talend, Informatica etc
Solid experience in Python
Knowlegde of Cloudera
Knowledge of different types of Databases (Relational, Graphic…)
Strong Data Manipulation skills, working with large datasets
Experience within large data environments (Cloudera, OBIEE, etc)
Knowledge of Data Science is good to have
