EY-Consulting–Blue Yonder (BY) Production Planning & Scheduling – Senior Consultant (6-10 years)

The opportunity

EY GDS is a global major in value-added Digital Supply Chain services for its clients. As part of this rapidly growing business segment, we are looking for a planning & Scheduling consultant to join our team as a consultant. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your Key Responsibilities
Redefine the scheduling process to ensure the best use of the current ERP system to produce an accurate schedule
Create and Maintain Production Planning/Detailed Schedule (PP/DS) for multiple work centres and departments
Develops, maintains, and balances production schedules in ERP system (BY) to support efficiency and customer demands
Ensure availability of components to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Work to resolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions
Work closely with personnel to identify problems in daily production that affect customer service and other areas such as capacity, forecast, inventory levels, etc., and take direct and indirect action as appropriate
Work closely with Purchasing team to control and ensure adequate raw material inventory levels meet the needs of the master production schedule
Works with operations team to determine the root cause of any misses to build commits to communicate clear root cause and recovery plans to the customer
Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays
Deliver high quality client solutions that meet and exceed client/EY expectations and are delivered on-time and on-budget

Ideally, you’ll also have
Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or Operations Research preferred. A combination of Bachelor ’s degree and relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of advanced degree
Working experience with Onsite & Offshore delivery model environment is preferred
Engaging with business partners and IT to understand requirements from various parts of an organization to drive the design, programming execution, and UAT for future state capabilities within the platform
Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing multiple projects and strict deadlines
Good understanding of outsourcing and off shoring, building win/win strategies and contracts with suppliers

Functional and technical Experience SCM Planning
Documenting requirements and processes (e.g., Process flows)
Working collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Relevant industry certification from APICS will be a plus
