Local Unit & Position Description
The Global Centre Finance will deliver high quality services to North American, Asian and Middle East countries related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Record to Report processes. Services will be rendered in close collaboration with the GSS Finance Regional Centres, together developing the Global Shared Service Finance function for DNV.
We are seeking Collection Accountant for the Global Centre GSS Finance based in Pune, India.
The Collection team will report to the Team Leader of the function. The Collection Accountant is a member of a team of accountants; contact clients and collect missed and outstanding payments .
To succeed in this role, you need to a team player with ability to create an atmosphere of motivation and enthusiasm to be part of building up the Global Centre. You will play a key role in service implementation of the accounts receivable processes.
Key Tasks
Sending email reminders to customers
Making calls to customers, Handling disputes
Payment plan handling, administrative tasks
Preparing write off documentation
Position Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
5-7 years of experience as a Collection Accountant or a similar role
Comfortable working with tight targets
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Demonstrated experience in collections with basic accounting skills
Knowledge of Oracle preferred
Previous experience with a Professional Services Company preferred
Excellent English skills required, written and verbal
Additional European language skills will be an advantage
